Our Goals:

  • Promote integrity and responsiveness of the Colonial School Board to parents and the community.
  • Ensure fiscal responsibility so that precious financial resources are directed to student programs.
  • Create a climate of accountability, discussion and questioning by the Colonial School Board.
  • Recognize and appreciate the contributions of Colonial School District employees who care about the students and the community they serve.
  • Accelerate reduction of energy costs and support of green initiatives through reviews of all district facilities, practices and procedures.


    ELECTION NEWS!!! COLONIAL NEIGHBORS FOR SCHOOL BOARD SWEEP ALL FIVE SEATS!!!

      The Colonial Neighbors for School Board earned a clean sweep in their race against the five incumbents in yesterday's general election.

      The group was successful in unseating all five Republican incumbents seeking to retain their posts. Four won four-year terms, with the fifth candidate earning a two-year appointment.

      Kathleen Oxberry (4,493 votes, 13.21 percent), Beth A. Suchsland (4,455 votes, 13.09 percent), Alan D. Tabachnick (4,447 votes, 13.07 percent), and Bernie Brady (4,400, 12.93 percent) all earned four-year terms. The four Republican incumbents that failed to earn re-election were Lenora Bruno (4,148 votes, 12.19 percent), Tom Davis (4,073 votes, 11.97 percent), William J. Ryan, Jr. (4,031 votes, 11.85 percent), and Steven Slutsky (3,975 votes, 11.68 percent).

      In the race for a two-year term of school director, Thomas Sigafoos (D) came out victorious while earning 4,543 votes (53.38 percent). His opponent, Kelly Jowett (R), earned 3,967 votes (46.62 percent) and was not able to hold onto her seat as the incumbent. (Times Herald, 11/4/09)


      The Colonial Neighbors for School Board, Kathleen Oxberry, Beth Suchsland, Alan Tabachnick, Bernie Brady, and Tom Sigafoos, want to thank everyone for their support and votes. We look forward to working very hard on behalf of the students, teachers, families, and residents of Plymouth Township, Whitemarsh Township, and Conshohocken Borough.
